Makoto YUI is a visiting researcher in the
Research Institute of Information Technological Biology
at Waseda University.
He received his B.E. degrees in computer science from Shibaura Institute of Technology, Japan, in 2003 and both M.E. and Dr. Eng. degrees
in computer science from Nara Institute of Science and Technology, Japan in 2006 and 2009 respectively.
He is receiving JSPS Research Fellowships for Young Scientists from Japan Society for the Promotion of Science.
Research Interests
XML Database System, Distributed and Parallel Database System, Data Management on Modern Hardwares, and Non-blocking Algorithms.

- Data management on computing clusters.
I'm currently working on Gridool, an infrastructure of parallel job execution on computing clusters.
A distributed XML database system extending XBird is the one of applications.
